Here is my SWTOR Galactic Seasons Overview. Galactic Seasons is a brand new system being introduced to Star Wars The Old Republic in Game Update 6.3. It’s basically a battle pass system that offers cosmetic rewards without the buy-in. Only a subscription is needed to fully access the system.
This Overview based on information from the Welcome to Galactic Seasons! Developer Blog, the Game Update 6.3 Announcement Stream, David Staats’ Galactic Season Feedback Post on the Forums and the Galactic Season 1: The Stranger from Kubindi Developer Article.
I will update this overview as more information comes to light and we continue to test the system on the PTS.

What is Galactic Seasons?
Galactic Seasons is a new rewards system being introduced to The Old Republic. It is basically an amped-up version of the Daily Login Rewards system introduced in Game Update 6.2 that requires extra participation.
Instead of getting freebies, you have to complete certain tasks to earn Galactic Season Points. These tasks will be identical to the current Conquest Objectives and new ones being introduced in Game Update 6.3. There will be a limited number of daily or weekly Priority Objectives to choose from each day/week. Completing these objectives will reward points that will increase your level. You earn a total of 800 points.
You earn rewards as you gain levels. Each level is worth 8 points and there are a total of 100 levels. There are two reward tracks, one accessible to all players and one for subscribers only.
You’ll be able to track your progress through the reward tracks, see how many points you’ve earned, how many points you need for the next level and when the season ends.
How do you access the Galactic Seasons Interface?
There are two different ways to access the Galactic Seasons UI. By clicking on the Login Rewards Icon in the Social Bar or by clicking on the ‘man icon’ in the Main Bar and clicking ‘Login & Seasons Rewards’. Once you’ve opened the Login & Seasons Rewards window, click on the Galactic Seasons Tab.
How do Priority Objectives Work?
Priority Objectives comprise of Conquest Objectives both current and new ones being introduced in 6.3. Priority Objectives will be identified with a special icon in the Conquest objective list and are filtered to the top of the list. Completing a Priority Objective will also reward the Conquest Objectives attached to the base objective.
Each time you log in, there will be 4 priority objectives; 2 Daily Priority Objectives and 2 Weekly Priority Objectives. Daily Priority Objectives refresh every day meaning you can do two Daily Priority Objectives per day. Weekly Priority Objectives refresh at Weekly reset. You can do two Weekly Priority Objectives per week and you will get to choose from four different weeklies covering most group content types.
You can not directly pick and choose which dailies and weeklies you do. However, you can refresh your Daily once per day and your Weekly once per week. You can do this through the Conquest Interface.
Daily Objectives are designed to be completed on your own and take no longer than 20-30 minutes. The aim of these objectives is that they are already things you would normally do to complete conquest. Some examples of Daily Priority Objectives include (subject to change):
- Complete Corellia: Defeat Enemies 2
- Complete CZ-198: Weekly Mission
Weekly Objectives are intended to be more group aligned and should take roughly 50-70 minutes per objective. Here are some examples of Weekly Priority Objectives you may find (subject to change):
- Complete Operation: Story
- Complete Unranked: Victorious 2
How many priority objectives can you do per day/week?
You can do two priority objective dailies per day and two priority objective weeklies per week.
How do you earn Galactic Season Points?
The best way to participate in Galactic Seasons is to complete priority daily and weekly objectives which grant you Galactic Season Points. There are a total of 100 levels to earn. Each level is worth 8 Galactic Season Points (with a total of 800 Galactic Season Points to earn). Points are legacy wide.
Here’s how many points you can earn from completing Priority Objectives.
- Daily Priority Objectives
- Free and Preferred players: 2 Galactic Season Points each
- Subscribers: 3 Galactic Season Points each
- Weekly Priority Objectives
- Free and Preferred players: 8 Galactic Season Points each
- Subscribers: 12 Galactic Season Points each
Players can also earn bonus points for logging in 4 days each week (works the same as the current subscriber login rewards bonus).
- Free and Preferred players – 4 Galactic Season Points per week
- Subscribers – 8 Galactic Season Points per week
How long is each Galactic Season?
Each Galactic Season will last roughly five months. This means that you will have roughly 150 days to earn 100 levels or 800 Galactic Seasons Points.
How long will take to get 800 points or 100 Levels in Galactic Seasons?
The answer to this question greatly varies dpending on if you are F2P/Preferred or a Subscriber.
Subscriber
10.8 weeks or 75.6 days
Assuming you complete two dailies per day (3 points x 2 dailies = 6 points), 7 days a week (6 points x 7 days = 42 points), two weeklies per week (12 points x 2 weeklies = 24 points) and get the weekly login bonus points (8 points) subscribers can earn a max of 74 points per week.
When you divide 800 points by 74 points, that equals 10.8. This means subscribers can get 800 points in 10.8 weeks. To convert that into days, 0.8 is 4/5ths of 1.0 so (4 divided by 5) x 7 days = 5.6 days. Add to that 10 weeks = 70 days, subscribers can get 800 points in 75.6 days (out of 150 days).
F2P/Preferred
16.6 weeks or 116.2 days
Assuming you complete two dailies per day (2 points x 2 dailies = 4 points), 7 days a week (4 points x 7 days = 28 points), two weeklies per week (8 points x 2 weeklies = 16 points) and get the weekly login bonus points (4 points) F2P/Preferred can earn a max of 48 points per week.
When you divide 800 points by 48 points, that equals 16.6. This means F2P/Preferred players can get 800 points in 16.6 weeks. To convert that into days, 0.6 is 3/5ths of 1.0 so 3 divided by 5 x 7 days = 4.2 days. Add to that 16 weeks = 112 days, F2P/Preferred player can get 800 points in 116.2 days (out of 150 days).
Is Galactic Seasons Legacy Wide?
Yes. Earning Galactic Season points and the rewards obtained through the system are legacy wide. However, there will still be a small unlock fee (seems to be 10 CC so far) via Collections.
The majority of rewards earned through Galactic Seasons can be found in your Collections. Under each category eg. Armor is a new section for Galactic Seasons Items.
How do you earn Rewards through Galactic Seasons?
You earn rewards by levelling (or getting points) through the Galactic Seasons System. There are two different Reward Tracks. One accessible to all players and one for Subscribers only. There are also two vendors that offer rewards you can purchase with a currency (Galactic Tokens) earned through levelling Galactic Seasons.
How do you earn Galactic Seasons Tokens?
You earn Galactic Season Tokens by levelling through Galactic Seasons. Currently, on the PTS, all players will be able to earn their first Galactic Season Token when they get to level 5.
The total number of Galactic Seasons Tokens you can earn is determined by whether you are a subscriber or not.
- Subscribers – 15 Seasons Tokens
- F2P/Preferred – 5 Seasons Tokens
Level Token Earned | Free | Subscriber |
---|---|---|
5 | x | x |
8 | x | |

How do I earn the new Companion ‘Altuur zok Adon’?
You can earn the new companion Altuur zok Adon simply by getting to Level 1 in Galactic Seasons. Claim the Ornate Kubaz Box and use it to gain a Holocommunicator which you then can use to get the companion.
You can then unlock him for alts in Collections for 10 Cartel Coins.
How do I get the new Strongholds through Galactic Seasons?
You can purchase one of the new Strongholds using Galactic Season Tokens. Unfortunately, since each Stronghold costs 8 Galactic Seasons Tokens and we can only earn a maximum of 15 Tokens per season, we will only be able to purchase one of the Strongholds.
Subscribers earn enough tokens (8) to purchase a Stronghold at Galactic Seasons Level 69. Since F2P/preferred Players can only earn 5 Galactic Season Tokens this season, they will not be to purchase a Stronghold this season.
Will previous or existing Operation or Warzone rewards be obtainable from Galactic Seasons and/or the Galactic Seasons Vendor?
No. Warzone and Operation rewards are tied to the effort put forth in those activities. You should not expect to see any rewards from previous or current Warzone or Operations explicitly in Galactic Seasons or the Galactic Seasons Vendor. Those rewards are, and will continue to be, specific to those activities.
Is there a way to ‘Catch Up’ in Galactic Seasons?
Yes. If for some reason you can’t log in for a couple of weeks or just want to skip a couple of levels, you can do so using Credits or Cartel Coins.
- Credits – available later on in the season (with conditions), the cost to skip levels with credits increases incrementally.
- Cartel Coins – available for the whole season. Each level unlock costs 100 Cartel Coins. For example, if you wanted to unlock Level 10, it would cost 1,000 Cartel Coins as you are also purchasing the previous levels. To unlock the entire Season costs 10,000 Cartel Coins.
However, level skips can only be done in sequential order so you have to buy every individual level to advance. For example, a player at Reward Level 10 can immediately skip to level 50, but will need to purchase all Reward Levels in-between as well (Reward Levels 11-49).
What do you think of the Galactic Seasons system? Do you like the rewards? Do you think the system is borderline P2W?
I like that you aren’t being too pressured to complete these objectives as fast as possible. Even F2P/Preferred status players can skip a couple of weeks and still be fine.
Any ideas of when the vendor will start selling Shae, Nico, Dazh, and Paxton?
